Dr. Grant Allen is an assistant professor of special education at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. His research interests involve supporting educators to build, implement, and evaluate Comprehensive, Integrated, Three-tiered (Ci3T) models of prevention. A Ci3T model of prevention outlines the school-wide practices educators use to support the academic, behavioral, and social skills development of students through universal (Tier 1; for all), secondary (Tier 2; for some), and tertiary (Tier 3; for few) supports. He served as an inclusive special education teacher in southwest Kansas for five years, teaching science, social studies, math, and English language art in inclusive settings.
