Dr. Grant Allen is an assistant professor of special education at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. His research interests involve supporting educators to build, implement, and evaluate Comprehensive, Integrated, Three-tiered (Ci3T) models of prevention. A Ci3T model of prevention outlines the school-wide practices educators use to support the academic, behavioral, and social skills development of students through universal (Tier 1; for all), secondary (Tier 2; for some), and tertiary (Tier 3; for few) supports. He served as an inclusive special education teacher in southwest Kansas for five years, teaching science, social studies, math, and English language art in inclusive settings. Dr. Allen teaches courses on introduction to special education, emotional/behavioral disorders, inclusion, transition, autism, and supervises student teachers.
