Commencement to be held Dec. 17 for 594 graduates

Chancellor, alum, two students to speak; two ceremonies to be held in Johnson Fieldhouse

Fall commencement will be held for 594 graduates on Saturday, Dec. 17, at UW-Stout.

A total of 473 undergraduate and 121 Graduate School students will receive degrees.

Two ceremonies will be held in Johnson Fieldhouse:

The ceremonies also can be seen via livestream on the UW-Stout commencement website and at the Memorial Student Center.

Provost Glendali Rodriguez will host the ceremonies. Chancellor Katherine Frank will provide remarks to the graduates.

An alum and two graduates also will speak:

  • Charles Wachsmuth, who last attended UW-Stout in 2003, undergraduate ceremony. He is vice president of Chippewa Valley Bean of Menomonie, the world’s largest processor and exporter of kidney beans.
  • Willa Rodencal, of Waukesha, retail merchandising and management, undergraduate ceremony
  • Corey Tallier, of Gilman, clinical mental health counseling, Graduate School ceremony.

The ceremonies will include music by the UW-Stout Symphonic Band and the Jazz Orchestra, directed by Aaron Durst; and the Chamber Choir and the Symphonic Singers, directed by Jerry Hui.

Students and members of the UW-Stout community can share comments and photos on UW-Stout social media platforms using the hashtag #StoutGrad2022.

Diplomas will be mailed to students four to six weeks after final grades are issued.
