Jaimie Howe obtained her undergraduate degree from UW-Stout as an Early Childhood Teacher. She later received her Reading Teacher License and M.A. in Literacy Education from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. Soon thereafter, she completed her Reading Specialist Certification from UW-Stout. Most recently, Jaimie obtained National Board Certification in Literacy: Reading-Language Arts/Early and Middle Childhood.
Throughout Jaimie's career she has served as a 4K Teacher, Kindergarten Teacher, 1st Grade Teacher, Literacy Coach, and is currently an Intervention Specialist for the School District of the Menomonie Area. In addition to UW-Stout, she teaches Elementary Reading Instruction to graduate students at St. Mary's University of Minnesota in a blended format. Jaimie loves learning and has stayed involved in the Literacy community by being a member of the WI DPI Literacy Booth, where she has written several blog posts related to Literacy Instruction. In addition, she is a member of the UW-Stout Reading Program Advisory Board, the Wisconsin DPI Instructional Coaching Collaborative Leadership Team, and has presented at the Wisconsin State Reading Association Convention several times.
