The Biology minor allows you to explore concepts in the core introductory courses of basic cell and molecular biology, genetics, and ecology. You may then expand your scope in elective classes in topics appropriate to your major.
Allied Health, Art, Science, and Engineering majors commonly opt for our 20-credit Biology minor, although the opportunity is available to all UW-Stout majors.
Minors are defined as either “studies in the discipline” or as “teaching.”
To declare a minor, complete the "Applying for a Minor" survey online, and you will be given further instructions. Once this has been processed you will receive an e-mail confirmation from the Advisement Center.
