Dr. Sarah Wood is a social psychologist and the program director for both the on-campus and online psychology programs. As a faculty member in the psychology department, she teaches a variety of courses such as social psychology, personality psychology, forensic psychology, and consumer psychology, as well as the capstone research course, and the professional development seminars for psychology majors. As program director Sarah is also heavily involved in advising students from their first semester through to graduation.
Outside the classroom Sarah has an active team of undergraduate students conducting research on a variety of topics related to social influence and persuasion. Recently students have been developing projects related to understanding how people interpret mental health information on social media platforms and looking at how eyewitness identifications can be made more accurate. She regularly travels with students to present at psychology research conferences.
