Build a Career Facilitating Fun

Develop the interdisciplinary knowledge, skills and experience to succeed in a wide range of media and game-related fields. Where related B.F.A. or computer science programs focus on animation or coding, the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Game & Media Studies offers students interested in media and gaming an avenue to leadership in these and related industries through project management and analysis. By examining media as cultural heritage, you will develop competencies in user research methods and practices, data literacy, and the Agile project management methodology.

While the interdisciplinary knowledge gained in this program will equip you to work in a wide variety of occupations, you will graduate uniquely positioned to manage and coordinate the work of diverse teams, such as software development. Throughout the program, you will benefit from high-impact practices, such as experiential learning during two field experience courses and project-based learning, culminating in the program’s capstone course.

Career-Defining Curriculum

Your B.S. Game & Media Studies will prepare you for career fields that combine communication, digital media, project management and user experience. Graduates will enter the workforce with the knowledge, skills and experience to lead interdisciplinary teams in a wide range of project-based occupations, including design, data and marketing, production and project management and UX research.
