UW-Stout's Blended and Online Teaching & Training Certificate (BOTT) is designed to ensure you have the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively design, assess and deliver student-centered learning in blended and online environments. And the best part is that you can earn it entirely online.
The Blended and Online Teaching & Training (BOTT) Certificate provides K-12 teachers, higher education faculty, and training professionals with a pathway to leadership on distance learning initiatives.
Certificate Overview
Throughout the BOTT Certificate program, you will dive into student-centered learning technologies and learn how to deliver impactful online and blended learning experiences.
Earn your certificate by completing four classes:
- EDUC 761 Using Digital Tools to Facilitate Learning (2 Credits)
- EDUC 762 Leveraging Technology to Assess Student Learning (2 Credits)
- EDUC 763 Designing for Blended and Online Environments (2 Credits)
- EDUC 764 Blended and Online Teaching and Training Capstone (1 Credit)*
*Registration in EDUC 764 requires successful completion of EDUC 761, EDUC 762 and EDUC 763 with a 3.0 GPA (B or better) or higher in each course.
Program Highlights
- Course sequences begin Spring, Summer and Fall
- Complete the certificate program in as few as two terms
- Apply your earned credits to UW-Stout's Master of Science in Education or as electives in the Master of Science in Career and Technical Education (MSCTE) or Master of Science in Information and Communication Technologies (MSICT) programs
