We look forward to hosting you on campus during our first Stout Proud Weekend! This is the premier fall event for families, friends, and supporters of our Stout students. Join us for events on campus including Bingo, free movie Friday, the Stout Proud Picnic and a home football game vs rival, UW-Eau Claire. We encourage visitors to take advantage of our local community, parks, trails, shopping, eating and everyone's fall favorite, pumpkin patches!

Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and more!

We will be testing different objects in a wind tunnel for their aerodynamic properties. A fog generator will allow us to see the flow and the instrumentation on the wind tunnel will let us measure the forces.

Plastics Engineering

The state of the art plastics engineering lab boasts multiple injection molding machines equipped with process monitoring software, many extrusion lines capable of producing everything from films to profiles and non-woven filters, a suite of material characterization technologies. This lab is also equipped with thermoforming, blow molding, and rotational molding capabilities, all of which are used in the multiple classes offered in the plastics engineering, packaging, mechanical engineering, and engineering technology degree programs.  The activities showcased during the Stout Proud event will highlight the wide range of process capabilities we have partnered with local, national, and international industrial partners to bring to our students.

Roommate Game

How well do you think you know your roommate?  What’s their favorite thing to binge watch?  What brand shampoo do they use?  What’s their biggest pet peeve?  If you can answer these questions and more come to the roommate game and raise your hand to join us on stage in a competition of who knows who best.  We’ll be looking for roommate pair who only met each other this fall, another pair who’ve lived together for 3+ semesters and hopefully a pair that have lived together for 2+ years!  Join us on stage to win big prizes OR relax in the audience and cheer on your favorite team.  On stage or in the audience it’s sure to be a night of laughs.

CHECKING IN

Upon arriving on campus, please stop by the Memorial Student Center’s Stout Proud Weekend Check-in/Registration. The check-in table will be located on the lower level of the Memorial Student Center (outside of the Involvement Center). 

  • Starting at 2 pm on Friday, this table will be staffed throughout the weekend to welcome you to campus. Stop by to check in, pick up a weekend program, coupon book and get your questions answered.
  • Be sure to have your photo taken at our photo booth on Friday 2 pm – 7 pm and Saturday 9 am – 2 pm.  We’d love to send you home with a group photo.

 

PARKING

Please park in Lot #29 (located behind Johnson Fieldhouse) and Lot #18 (behind Jarvis Hall). Both lots are near the Memorial Student Center, which is where many events are taking place. 

  • Both lots are free for guests to use starting at 4 pm on Friday and throughout the weekend.
  • There is also limited metered parking near the Memorial Student Center on 3rd Street which is also free starting at 5 pm on Friday and through the weekend. More parking and campus maps can be found here.
