Jeremy L. Wolfe
First Lieutenant Jeremy L. Wolfe was born on August 16, 1976 in Menomonie, Wisconsin. He joined the Army National Guard in 1994 and graduated from Colfax High School in 1995. He enrolled at UW-Stout and shortly after enlisted in the U.S. Army as a Specialist (E4) in the 25th Infantry Division. His Ranger, Airborne and Jump School record earned him a Green and Gold Scholarship at Hawaii Pacific. Wolfe graduated in the top five of his flight school. He was deployed to Iraq in 2003 where he served as a flight platoon leader with the 101st Aviation Regiment, 101st Airborne Division. Wolfe was killed November 15, 2003 in a helicopter collision in Mosul, Iraq. He was awarded the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. He is buried in St. John’s Cemetery in Menomonie, Wisconsin.
